To map a shared folder or network drive, we use Map Network drive. When we use locally connected computers within a network, it can sometimes be useful to share files and folders with others. 


1.    Click on the windows Icon in the bottom left of your screen. 



2.    Then click on 'This PC'



3.    Now click on 'Map Network Drive', followed by 'Map Network Drive'



4.    Browse for your desired folders using the 'Browse' button, and click 'OK' when you've selected your folder . You can alternatively type in the path of the folder if you know this. (e.g. \\ThisPC\\Documents)


5.    Tick the 'Reconnect at Sign-in box' and 'Connect Using Different Credentials'.


6.    Then Click Finish when you're happy with the chose file path


7.    You will then be prompted for your username and password to give permissions



8.    Once complete, select 'OK'
