Start OneDrive by pressing cmd+Space to launch a Spotlight query and type OneDrive. This starts OneDrive Setup.
Enter your work or school account and then select Sign in to set up your account.
Sign in with your Office 365 Credentials
This assumes you have One Drive installed. One Drive comes with your Office 365 install or you can download a copy from here:

When setting up your OneDrive, it has a default location set. However, you can change this during setup. On the This is your OneDrive folder screen, click Change Location.
Select a location where you would like to save your OneDrive files and click Choose this location.
When you see the This is your OneDrive folder screen, you’ll now see a path to the folder you selected. Click Next to continue.
On the Sync Files from Your OneDrive screen, you can choose the folders you want to sync to your computer, and click Next. This conserves space on your computer, and reduces bandwidth needed for the sync processes.
You’re done! Click Open my OneDrive folder to see your files sync to your folder.
You can find OneDrive up in your Menu bar. You’ll have a cloud icon for every account you’ve connected to OneDrive. So you’ll have one cloud if you’re only syncing a work or school account, one cloud if you’re syncing only a personal account, or two clouds if you’re syncing both.
Opening Shared Folders from Other people
Add a shared folder to your OneDrive
Sign in to OneDrive on your browser.
- In the OneDrive navigation pane, under OneDrive, click Shared. Folders you can add to your OneDrive are marked Can edit.
or goto your OneDrive icon and click view online:
Sync the Shared Folder
1. Click on Shared
2. Click on the folder you with to sync
Click SYNC on the folder:
Follow onscreen instructions to and allow OneDrive to sync the folder.
Tip: If you don't want the folder contents to sync and be shared, you can click Download. This copies the folder and its contents to your computer, not to your OneDrive. The files are available for you to edit offline, but you would not see updates made by others, and they would not get updates you make.
How to add a shortcut of my OneDrive folder on my mac desktop
1. Click on Finder and then
2. click on the OneDrive Folder
1. Right click on the folder you want to add on your desktop
2. Add Alias.
3. Drag the Alias to the desktop
How to sync all data and folders to your MAC local drive
If you want to sync all data to your MAC you can set Files on Demand to OFF. This will sync all data.
1. Click on the One Drive Icon
2. Click on More > Preferences
Turn on or Off Files on Demand as desired.
